8-Year-Old Boy Killed in Mumbai After Toyota Innova Crysta Hits Him
An 8-year-old boy died after a Toyota Innova Crysta struck him in Mumbai’s Bandra West. Police arrested the driver after eyewitnesses alleged she was on a phone call and speeding before the fatal crash.
Ansh, the only child of hawker Arvind Gupta, was hit by the SUV while 45-year-old driver Megha Rawal was allegedly on a phone call and speeding, according to eyewitnesses.
Rawal rushed Ansh to Holy Family Hospital after the collision, but he was declared dead.
Police arrested Rawal and charged her with culpable homicide, rash driving, and endangering life. The BH-plated Toyota Innova Crysta was seized as part of the investigation.
The incident has prompted public calls for greater road safety as police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
